Color Blocking is a trend I’ve been meaning to give a try too for quite sometime. It’s only when I put this particular outfit together that I realized I’d finally ended up doing what I was planning to do! Color blocking is basically the use of contrasting blocks or panels of solid, typically bright color. Click on the link to get a vivid idea about this trend.
Red and yellow are two colors that I really like, also because these colors really suit those who have a warm skin tone. To know more about the skin tones click on the link below. I’ve spoken in detail about different skin tones in this blog post and have attached the link for the same. Ideal Spring Outfit (Part 1 😉
I’d never thought I’d end up wearing both the colors together. I remember cringing at the very sight of this boy in school who was wearing a yellow pair of jeans and a red tee, that moment I’d decided I wouldn’t even try putting these colors together. LOL. Here I am years later, color blocking the outfit with red and yellow! As they say, Never say Never. Also, most of us have been judgmental in our lives at a certain point of time, imperative part is the realization.
For all those who love experimenting shall particularly love this trend. 🙂
I am wearing a three tiered viscose dress as a cape over my red skater skirt. The neck piece has been gifted to me and I intentionally coordinated the accessory with my dress/cape because I did not want to add a third color to the outfit. Ever since this dress arrived I knew I’d wanted to create a different look with it besides just wearing it as a dress, the best part being that it’s buttoned from the top to bottom! Moreover, the dress has a floral print all over. I’ve chosen my dull gold tie-ups because they neutralize the outfit perfectly.
This ensemble also satisfies my endless desire of always wanting to add color to my outfit. 😀
